BOOM Motion: Pittsburgh Recovery Walk – Right Here. Right Now.

To recap the Pittsburgh Recovery Walk, BOOM produced a film to showcase the magic of the day. For 2018, BOOM Director of Motion Mark Spaeder was seemingly in four places at once, capturing moments of unity and pride all over downtown Pittsburgh as the walk unfolded between the edges of the Strip District all the way up to Market Square where it culminated into a huge celebration of recovery. There was so much amazing and inspiring footage to choose from this year, we couldn’t keep the video under five minutes!

BOOM was proud to once again serve on the steering committee for the Walk, now in its third year, an event that aims to dispel negative stigma associated with recovery from addiction, and celebrate the many roads to recovery and all those who have traveled them. This year’s featured guests included local TV personality Sally WigginJennifer Smith, Secretary of Pennsylvania’s Dept. Drug & Alcohol Programs, Dr. Michael Flaherty, and music from Colonel Eagleburger’s High Steppin Good Time Band and Jim Donovan & Sun King Warriors.

The Pittsburgh Recovery Walk takes place in September as part of National Recovery Month.
