The FirstStep™ program is a networked online system of regional substance abuse assistance providers, resources and information. Piloted originally for the Butler County Drug & Alcohol Program, FirstStep™ works simply and cleanly, allowing participant group members to log-in via a dashboard, add & share articles, links, calendar events, contact information, documents, and more on their own pages. By being part of a larger collected resource, the topics gain visibility than any one group could achieve alone. BOOM developed the FirstStep™ brand and handles Advertising, Public Relations, Web-Design, Training, Advocacy and Regional Promotions. In 2011, BOOM is extending the program’s availability to other counties and regions.
